Select the buttonhole construction required by the garment before comparing machines. SAFE offers computerized buttonhole and eyelet buttonhole equipment, with separate specifications for each complete model.
Buttonhole sewing and button attaching are different operations.
Choose the buttonhole result.
For an industrial buttonhole machine, begin with the finished shape, length and fabric layers. Compare SF-1790A-DH and SF-781H with the SF-9820-02 eyelet buttonhole sewing machine. A buttonhole machine for jeans may need different construction and controls from one selected for a shirt.
Compare the SF-373E stepper motor button attaching machine for two-hole and four-hole garment buttons. Send the button dimensions, hole spacing and fabric sample to confirm the appropriate setup. Button attaching and buttonhole cutting require different equipment.
Confirm the complete garment sample.
Provide the button and the garment together with the required stitch pattern or buttonhole outline. This helps distinguish sewing, feeding and cutting requirements before the quotation is prepared.
Prepare the material around the opening.
Provide a sample showing the fabric, interlining and total thickness at the buttonhole. Include the button size, opening dimensions and the face and underside appearance you want to achieve. If the garment has several layers or a difficult transition, photograph that area clearly. Sample review helps identify handling and adjustment requirements before committing to a configuration.
