Work area, fixture & material
Make the workpiece the starting point.
A programmable pattern sewing machine follows a prepared stitch path while a fixture or template holds the work. Select the field using the entire path and the workholding arrangement, not only the finished part dimensions.
| Check | Why it matters | What to supply |
|---|---|---|
| Stitch path and field | SF-2010 lists 200 × 100 mm, SF-3020 300 × 200 mm, and SF-6040 600 × 400 mm. The 13090 template range lists 1,300 × 900 mm. | A dimensioned drawing showing the complete stitched area and the intended orientation. |
| Fixture and loading | A part that fits the field still needs secure holding, needle access and room to load and remove it. | Material layers, component photos, clamping points, and an existing fixture or template drawing if available. |
| Motion and head configuration | SF-6040 uses an AC servo main motor with X/Y stepper drive. SF-13090S and SF-13090X use rotating-head arrangements; lifting details differ. | The operation and handling sequence, including curves, corners and any head-lift need. |
| Material and utilities | Needle, thread, clamp and operating conditions must be matched to the task. | Fabric/leather/webbing sample as relevant, thickness and layers, seam specification, electrical supply and available compressed air. |
Agree the sample criteria before selecting a machine.
State the seam position, stitch length, appearance and handling requirements to check. Request a test with the actual material and fixture, and record the settings used. A larger field or higher maximum speed alone does not prove suitability or production output.

Before you choose
Questions about this range.
Is a pattern sewing machine the same as an embroidery machine?
They are separate product selections in this catalogue. These pattern and template models use a single-needle lockstitch for programmed sewing paths. For caps, garments and decorative embroidery, review SF-CT1201S and its frame and needle-count options.
What should I send for a template or fixture review?
Send the part drawing with dimensions, stitch path, material stack, required thread and seam result, plus a short description or video of the current loading process. State the target operation and available utilities; the final configuration is confirmed in the quotation.
